Designer Cheryl Luckett loves to entertain at her home in Charlotte, North Carolina. “I think that entertaining at home really shouldn’t be over complicated. Keep it simple but make it special.’ This simple philosophy extends to both special gatherings and casual, intimate dinners.
Cheryl is the owner and principal designer of Dwell by Cheryl, designing classic, colorful spaces since 2012. Her clients love her ability to craft homes that tell their personal stories and provide spaces that turn into moments and memories.
When it comes to curating a tableware collection, Cheryl believes you should follow your heart and choose what you love. Cheryl has an extensive collection of both new and vintage dinnerware, including heirloom pieces and modern colorful glassware. “It’s fun to mix and match old and new, vintage and currently trending. It’s much more personal. “
Cheryl often refers to herself as an “extroverted homebody” who loves to host gatherings. It’s evident from the welcoming spaces she designs and her impeccable attention to detail that Cheryl creates homes where families and friends find togetherness and entertaining feels both elegant and effortless.
Creating unique tablescapes can start anywhere, and Cheryl often starts with a favorite dinnerware pattern or even fabrics from her collaboration with Revolution Fabrics. She believes inspiration for a special experience can come from the items you already have in your home.
“I feel that when people come to an event or a dinner and the table is set, they automatically feel really special.”
